The Daelenbroeck Castle rural estate consists of three buildings. You will find the hotel rooms in the ‘Kasteelhoeve’ (Castle Farmstead). The ‘Voorburcht’ (Fore Fortress) hosts the restaurant, terraces and a number of large rooms. The ‘Hoofdburcht’ (Main Fortress) was partially restored recently and is extremely suitable for company gatherings, weddings and other festive occasions.

Daelenbroeck is located on the edge of the village of Herkenbosch in Central Limburg, about eight kilometres south of the city of Roermond. Together with parishes such as Vlodrop and Melick, Herkenbosch is a part of the munici-pality of Roerdalen. As the name Roerdalen itself already reveals, the villages are located in the valley (= dal) of the river Roer in a slightly rolling landscape. Nature has supplied the sur-roundings of Herkenbosch abundantly with the ‘de Meinweg’ National Park with its vast moors and its large forests. It is a real pleasure to hike and cycle in this National Park, enjoying its unique flora and fauna. Germany is only ten kilometres away and if you drive twenty kilometres from Daelenbroeck, you will be in Belgium. As you can see, Central Limburg is the narrowest part of the Netherlands.
