Introduction
In the far southeast of Limburg, right next to the German border and near Kerkrade, are Erenstein Castle and Hotel Brughof. In the castle you’ll find the perfect environment for a romantic dinner, a special party, or a successful meeting. Two hundred metres from Erenstein is the seventeenth century Brughof farmhouse, which has undergone drastic renovation and is now a top-class hotel with more than forty deluxe double rooms.
Erenstein Castle is known for the high quality of its cuisine. The kitchen staff invites their guests to enjoy their delicious creations, prepared in the French tradition. It makes no difference whether you’ve come for a romantic dinner for two or with a large group. The castle’s various salons and rooms are multi-functional. The ’Hof van Erenstein’ the former ’tithes barn’ where the farmers from the area brought their rent in kind, is now a place for parties of up to 300 persons.
Erenstein Castle and Hotel Brughof are part of the Camille Oostwegel ChâteauHotels & -Restaurants chain. While staying in Kerkrade, take advantage of the opportunity to sample the other kitchens: Château Neercanne in Maastricht, Restaurant Pirandello in Landgraaf, and Château St. Gerlach in Valkenburg.
